In pursuit of a new beginning...

It's been 9 days since I moved to the big city (Cardiff) in pursuit of happiness and a new career as a Personal Trainer. I was told 'it'll be the best thing you do,' and I must admit, although making such a drastic change scared the hell out of me, I have settled in amazingly. To my amazement, I instantly felt at home in Cardiff and haven't felt scared or worried since the day I moved here. I have met so many lovely people that have been happy to help me settle in.

Since moving, my diet has gotten back on track, I have started a mini cut, concentrating more on fats than carbs and carb cycling. My training has also been on point, I am definitely getting the most out of my sessions and am starting to really see a difference in my body composition. My booty has developed yet more stretch marks (yes I have stretch marks, and I love them, they are natural and nothing to be ashamed of), which means it is growing, RESULT!!! Also, my abs are slowly peeking through again, my energy levels are on the up and I am actually getting a full nights sleep instead of awakening numerous times. I genuinely believe these are all as a result of me feeling a lot more content, relaxed, focused and all round happier.

I used PureGym for a week on their free weekly pass, which was interesting, it had a HACK SQUAT!!!! Although it was different to the ones I've used in the past and focused more on the quads instead of the glutes. They had 5 squat racks!!! YES 5!!! I really enjoyed using a different gym because it allows you to experiment with new/different equipment and exercises, which is something I try to do on a regular basis. Experimenting is something everyone can benefit from when it comes to diet and workouts, it can also prevent boredom.

I am looking forward to starting my Personal Training business on the 1st of June (which is when I will be renting my gym from). I will be working from a privately owned gym 15 mins walk from where I live, the gym has all the required free weights and machines needed, but what I love about the place is that it has a very calm and comfortable atmosphere. It is not just the atmosphere that I love, but the fact that it has all the 'old school' equipment, such as, tractor tyres, battle ropes, prowler and barrels. I tried the prowler for the first time today, and WAW what a way to build up a sweat and get those quads fired up!!!

The past 9 days has so far been about getting out of my 'comfort zone' and I am loving it, it really has made me realise just how right my decision to move and begin a new career in something I eat, sleep and breath = HEALTH, FITNESS AND PUSHING FOR BIGGER AND BETTER.

I will be blogging as regularly as I can, so please keep on following, thank you.
